I'm getting the headlight housings painted on my IS..I have the 212 black obsidian..Not positive they gonna do 212 prob. just a black w/ gloss/clearcoat and at the same time I want to paint my grill/engine cover..what should i do? Just do the black or tell them to do 212 (if it's possible)..I found this pic awhile ago w/ aac angels and the housings and grill are painted..if anyone knows help me out!! getting done wednesday so desperate if anyone has knowledge of the stuff . or if this is ur pic PM me!

I say 212 if possible... but if not...black gloss should be fine.

212 is actually just black with clear coats... thats the thing that makes it glossy not pearl black or whatever other black that my be present..

Go with your oem color "212"..the engine housing and grill will match great and not look like you grab a can of paint and did it yourself...

I think Flat black looks better. Are you planning to smoke out the rear tails and emblems also?

wow. i think i just. JIZZED IN MY PANTS. hahaha. looks good in that pic. if you can make it look like that, with the angel eyes... that'd be sick nasty.

how much is it going to run you to do that?

i have the rears smoked out already..its a tint vinyl with the reverse lights cut out so it looks slickk..yea i'm going in this week so prob. gonna look like this..was just gona call today and see if they can do my 212 color but if not it'll do. it's 60$ to remove bumber and I think 150$ for the headlight housings w/ oven-bake and complete removal/labor pretty good..

nahhh, i'll be too scared to screw it up :/ ..i'm getting the housings painted, oem grill painted, and engine cover painted (212 obsidian.) ..maybe some demons in the headlights ...2 weeks as they needed to order the 212 :/
