Default Strange Engine Noise

I just happend to park my IS 350 & wanted to redline it while parked to hear how the joez intake sounds. As I did this I went past redline & the engine kind of shook & made a strange noise as if pushed too far. Is there something wrong here?

you need to elaborate the 'strange' noise that you mentioned..

Past redline is the fuel cut off so that you will not blow your engine. If you want to hear your intake, its better to floor it from dead stop.

For the record, your intake will (mostly) sound just like stock, with the joe-z intake.

But you did good getting the joe-z, since it adds the most HP.

Unless you do another modification (which i'll let you figure out).

I'd also advise you not to rev your engine so much, just go push it on the street.
