I got $6000 on a trade in for a 2001 Jetta GLS with 75k miles last year. Tell them to pound sand on their trade in offer. If you use the Jetta as a down payment on the lease, you will not have any equity at the end of lease. I understand pros and cons of leasing but I believe that is one of the bigger down sides of leasing. But it depends on how your are going to use the 250.
