LQQK what happened to my tire yesterday(1/30/09)!
So I commute to school from my house and it's about an hour drive around some curvy mountain roads, which I used to fly around when I had my stock 18s on but since I have put my 20s on, I drive like a little old lady. Anyways, I have had these on for a little over 1000 miles and the guy who sold them to me said that he had only put 2000 on them. I drove around a curve when my traction control flashed on and my rear end felt squishy. So I pulled over and what do ya know, completely flat tire. I didn't hear a blow out or anything so I'm not sure what could have caused it.
Falken FK452 275 30 20
So do you guys think I could try to email Falken with the picture and see if they would do anything about it?

you positive you dont have a hairline crack on your rim, i use to have a set of 18" TSW Trophies Chrome and i swear i had to repair the rims like 3 times due to a hairline crack that would always slowly let the air out the rim

Looks like that tire is pretty bald from the picture, particularly on the inside edge. Unless those are racing slicks, I'd say they are closer to 20k than 3k miles.
Do you have TMPS sensors installed? It looks a lot like what happened to me when I had a flat 10 years ago, and the rim sliced it up pretty good by the time I could pull over.

I agree with him, the tires are pretty bald, especially on the inside, probably from camber wear. The outer portion of the tire are made for traction, and when you start getting closer to the inner layer, it's too near the steel braids that hold the tire together. I had something similar happen to me on my Prelude due to me putting off buying new tires.

Do you work for Nitto? I hate to tell you this, but the Nitto NT555s were the worst tire I have ever owned. Followed closely by Dunlop SPSport 9000s.
In everything other than Dry warm days, the NT555s were terrible. The Traction was terrible in the rain. It got so bad, that if a light was red on the top of a hill, I would have to wait where the road was flat, or else smoke the clutch to keep from sliding backwards.
