Default How do I get the vents out? Tried searching but no help!

How do I get the vents out? I tried using everything and ended up snapping 1 so far. Here are some pictures. I tried looking for the cotter at Home Depot but they said it's sold out..

really just gotta make sure u get all the clips. when i had my ipod installed by isbu, we found lexus broke some of the clip and made it really hard to take out. but it can still be done, get the beer n take your time haha

well said weesped, yeah, but be careful just to grab a couple of beers and not a whole case cause then you will just want to rip the thing apart, it is tricky and you kinda have to use some force but once you do it that first time, its cake after! or beer, whichever you prefer

Push in the clips as shown in the nav hack thread. Then I wrapped a flat head screw driver in tape and wedged it in between the vent and the suprisingly flexible upper dash. Then all you do is pry down right over the four clip points and it should start to pop free. Then just pull it out. Make sure not to seperate the vents from there housing as I did. It's a ***** to get back together.
