Default nail in tire...corner of tread and sidewall

I just got a nail in my tire and is now producing a small leak. It got punctured right on the corner of the sidewalla and tread..does anyone know if this is fixable through a patch or plug? Or does this mean new tire?

Thanks

Most likely a new tire. It is not good practice to patch or plug a tire in that area, and a reputable shop won't attempt it. Get a new tire, your life is worth it.

Def a new tire for sure. Had it happen to me too. Sucks but what can ya do? I did have tire and wheel protection program and they were able to cover it.

yup thats gonna be a new tire. Play it safe!!! The small amount of money is not worth damage to the car from a flat, your time, or your safety

I wouldn't be surprised if someone got jealous and came to your car at night and just drilled it lol. But yeah get new tires

Yup, Discount/Americas Tire will be able to hook you up with a replacment tire for a good deal. They have taken good care of me and my car when I've gotten nails in my tires.

im guessing i should replace both rear tires rather than just the one with the nail in it.. i still seem to have quite a bit of tread with 23k miles...
