IS there anyway i can trade my 08 is250 auto with 9,000 miles for another 08 is 250 manual? WHen i purchased my car my mom didnt want me to get manual cause she might have to drive it but ever since i got my car she has never even drove it and i want to get manual now but how much would it be to trade it in for?

Of course there's a way--find a 6MT owner willing to swap. I don't think you'd want to do a straight swap, though. I think its much more likely that a 6MT has no options than a 6AT, since they make so few of them.

Expect to loose $5k+ on this trade. Right now, all cars in general are depreciating like crazy. Nobody wants to buy and alot people are selling. Unless you can find someone who will do a direct swap.

FYI, manuals are extremely rare, I think less than 1% of all 2IS are manual. If you do happen to trade it, you will take a hit on gas mileage, options and from what I've heard the transmission ain't the greatest.

Why do you want MT? Use the sport paddle. You better off with the AT. Your mom did the right thing!

You can pick up girls and let them drive the AT.

Beside, with AT, less maintenance on transmission.

2. trading to an is250 mt isn't a step up (not a step down either, but definitely not up). trading to an is350... now THAT is a step up.

why would you want a manual 250? lets be perfectly honest here~ if you switch from a AT 250 to a MT 250, you may have the enjoyment of shifting your own BUT~ its not like its gonna make the car go faster

imo, if you want a fun MT car get a pontiac G8 GT/anyone of dodges hemi cars/mustang... anyone of these cars will give you more bang for the buck than a MT is250
