TV in ISX50 possibility
So I was sitting at home doing some thinking and I came up with a possibility to have TV in the IS.
Basically you'll require several things including a video input kit for the ISX50 navi, a slingbox and a 3G or wifi featured phone a Symbian OS and also with a sound (3.5mm jack is easiest) and video output. At the top of my head I can think of the nokia n95 to use in this situation though the 3G does not work in the US for this, eventually new phones such as the n97 may possibly support the 3G in America.
So here's what you do:
1) Install the video input kit that allows you to use the yellow input cable for your navi screen.
2) Install a slingbox at home (this allows for you to stream your TV signal and control your signal at home from your phone)
3) Now install the slingplayer into your phone and connect the phone using the TV output into the video input kit and the sound output into the auxiliary port.
4) Run the slingplayer and connect through 3G or wifi to your slingbox and watch TV anywhere you go.
I might add that you might want a car phone charger. At the same time, you can also connect your phone via bluetooth or cable into your laptop computer and use it as a modem so you can stream TV and allow your passengers to browse the internet.
Now granted, I'm not sure what the US 3G carriers allow you to do with their 3G connections so that may limit your possibilities with the internet browsing but with some work you can at least wire the video input line to be where the aux port is and connect your phone into the video and sound line and charge it from there simultaneously.
Depending on how the 3G works in the US and if the N97 supports the US 3G bands upon release, I may jump on this the second I find out it works unless someone wants to jump on this before I do
