Default Why did all my windows and moonroof open by themselves?

Ok, here's something that's silly. I had this happen to me a few times in the year and a half I had my 08 IS250AWD and it happened again last week. I park my car in the garage for the night, with all windows closed. The next morning I go in the garage to see all 4 windows and the moonroof completely open. I keep the key fab in my coat so I never touched it, and I don't know what I could have done. Anyone have an explaination? I'm confused....

Maybe there's a problem with your key fob, or someone is holding down the unlock button, or a book is on your coat or something.
Any chance of it being that simple?

I would like to think it was just the key fab getting pushed by accident. But is it possible to hold the unlock button or something and make all the windows and moonroof open by themselves?

well, yeah.
Hold down your unlock button near your car for a few seconds. all your windows and moonroof will start to retract.

Hmm... Well, then I guess I just got my answer...... I usually just leave my key fobs in my coat and never even touch them. I guess that's what happens when you have all this other stuff in the same pocket.....

Thanks!

I'm confident this is the issue. Something pressing up against your coat pocket. My wife keeps her keys in her purse, and locks the car in the garage by mistake all the time b/c something presses up against the fob.

I'll second what tex2670 said. The key fob on the IS is very susceptible to accidental button presses by other items in your pocket or purse. After coming out of work and finding my windows and roof wide open (fortunately nothing was stolen and it wasn't raining), I had the dealer set the LPS preference so the fob can no longer open the windows or roof.

Making the key fob unable to open windows sounds like a good idea. I should do that too...

I had a similar experience, i talked to my salesman jokingly and he said that other frequencies in some electronics can trigger it. Not sure how legitimate he was, but he seemed pretty sure.
