Hey mahcah, how's it going. I see that you have been busy with the retrofit. Sorry about the delay with the pics of my headlights and the inside. I've recently been back from Iraq and I am still on orders until Mon. Jan 19. But when I have time I will try to take the pics for you.

Oh yea, the retro shouldn't really cost you that much if you wait for deals. That's what I did, but it was annoying though trying to look for deals all the time. But it paid off. I actually found my sc430 projectors from somebody on craigslist and it was local, so I got a good deal on it ($100) and the E30 lenses on ebay ($30). I went the harder route by getting the non xenon headlights, which was a pain. I had to make my own brackets to mount the projectors. But good luck on the project and I will try to get the pics up soon. Oh yea, one more thing, for the shrouds, I just used a bezel. I bought the 2.5 inch chrome flange from ace hardware. I think its only 4 bucks for a pair if you're interested. Here is an example http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/view...ght=ace+flange

Great! Good to see that you are in one piece! Whenever you can get those pics up, that would be great. You sure did get some good deals on those projectors and lenses for sure. Im just waiting for my left headlight to get in after my custom shields come in for my rx330's. A little tweaking here and there for the left light, and then put both headlights on the car for final readjustments/testing and BAM: headlights sealed and its ready for show!

Ill look in to the ace flange a little more; looks like these may look better. Thank you tchan for the info.

PS take those pictures please!

that's awesome dude.

You have by far the sickest 2IS headlights out there!

I have HID w/AFS and I want to upgrade to what you got.

Also, if you ever decide to tackle the fog lights, that'll be awesome!

I was disappointed when I found out ours were plain halogen reflectors.

Uhh, just off the top of my head:

2xBulbs (unless you have them)
2xProjectors (SC430/RX330s are a good fit)
2xShrouds/Bezels to fit over the projectors if stock ones don't fit
2xBallasts (Can use the stock ones)
2xClearlens (E30s/TSX/TSX-R/tomtoms*notrecommended*/others depending on need)

PC Power supply or other 12V source to test spacing, etc. in home

Patience, knowledge, creativity and practice.
It helps to have an extra set of headlights to do most of the fabrication and mounting at home, without time being too much of a concern.

Can't wait to get started on mine! Probably sometime after this semester ends, or during a break.

Dont be! What Elly listed is pretty much what you need. If you do some research, you'll be able to do it. I have studied this project for hours at a time for weeks now.

Well my headlights arent done yet. I also have HID w/ AFS also; I rather having that too because it makes the retrofit much easier; less of a headache. With the hype going on for HID projector foglights, I may do so haha!

Hmm iono know. You and others are making me think about retro'ing my fogs again...

What do you plan on using for you fogs? I was planning to use Camry projectors with some clear lense. It looks like it would fit the ISX50 foglight housing nicely from what I see so far.

I actually was thinking either Infiniti projectors, TSX, or possibly even our own ISx50. But I'm uncertain at the moment. I just want something with a sick output so I can have 2 low beams haha

Our ISx50 projectors are 3". It wont fit without alot of cutting; you may need to use a shroud (barely enough room, i think) if you go this route to cover up.

Its probably easier with the TSX's or FX's.

Im starting to debate whether or not to start on this fog retro.. hhhhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...
