I've only had my car for a month and its always seemed like that to me... Heats up alright though...

I think the only time it felt like it was on HI was when I had the "A/C" button on...

I've heard of A/C being used to defrost (default), but not otherwise...

On automatic, the heat comes out of the floor vents, not the dash vents.

dealer is saying the cabin filter is wet....they want me to pay for a new filter and me be on my way.

techs are saying i drove into a giant puddle which caused it to be wet. which is BS.

they are also saying i need to pay for a duct cleaning which may be causing the wet filter......

buy the filter and change it yourself. It's about $30 and the instructions are in the manual.

LOL drove into a big puddle? Lol even if the car was in 3-4 inches of water it still would not get wet.

well, did you check the filter to see if it's wet? it's quite easy to check.
they're quite cheap, but if it's your first filter change, be warned that the old carbon impregnated filters have been switched for one that is just mechanical filtration (no chemical filtration), due to complaints that the old carbon filters caused musky urine smells in the cabin

Let it run for a while... I find that when I first turn on the car and put the heat on hi, it takes 1-5 minutes to start working..

the filter is wet and i dont want to get a new filter and install it everytime this happens.

a filter change is simple enough, the techs think that there is a leak somewhere causing the filter to get wet. its been 2 days now without my car and with out my navi which i have grown fond of.
