How long can the battery last?
If I turn my car with one push of the Start button so I can use the radio without power, and I plug my laptop into the aux port and watch a movie at night, how long can I do so without the battery going dead on my butt?

Not sure, but I wouldn't do it for longer than 20min. I remember I left my lights on and had shut off the car, to clean the interior and trunk, and by the time I was done, my car was dead.
Just make sure your lights are off, but really just leave your car on, gas isn't that expensive anymore.

Sometimes I feel like it will last forever just because there's no agonizing turning-key-in-ignition-until-it-starts-period
but i'm sure the battery life would be affected by many variables like age, temperature, amount of charge , etc. etc.
give it a try!

I wouldn't recommend deep discharging a regular car battery any more often than necessary. A standard car battery is designed with thin plates to provide lots of power for a brief time in order to start the car, but those plates are damaged if you drain the battery, resulting in reduced capacity and premature failure. That's why the folks that are into car audio competitions replace their battery with deep cycle models like the Optima yellow top.

I see, thanks a lot guys.
I wouldnt want to be stranded in a deserted place with my date after the movies haha I guess I will look into ways to extend my laptops battery life instead.
I was thinking about leaving the car on, but I am worried about excessive like 2 hours of idling and also the exhaust fumes...
