the 2009 gfx kit definitely makes the 09 front look more aggresive.

If you're talking about the trunk spoiler, yes, it didn't change.

i always found the o9 bumper to be less aggressive looking as compared to the 06-08 because i think due to the release of the is-f, i think thass the more aggressive look as the regular iSx50, is more of a luxurious look

well im not trying to fit the 06-08 lip on my 09'.. i was being sold that lip, so i wanted to make sure it would fit before i bought it.. and im not taking none of this as ya'll pounding on me.. i asked, but its still whatever i like!! and i like my new car..

I would like to see how a 06-08 lip would look propped up to a 09+ bumper.

Curious to see fitment. Maybe custom brackets? If i recall correctly, there should be a line of 10MM bolts holding up the GFX lip.


Joe Z, do you have the installation manual for the 06-08 GFX front lip? I had it but it is lost.

I have an 09 250 AWD and love the look of it. I like the taillights especially and the side mirror signals, that's what made me buy the 09 over the 08 even though at the time I could have got an 08 for much cheaper. I don't like that square backup light on the 06-08 seems dated and out of place, the new "L" backup light is much classier. The mirror signal lights add that touch of luxury and safety. The interior is slightly different as well, I got the Ecru leather and the carpet is black or a really dark grey, the plastic cover on the back of the front seats are black or a really dark grey, as well as some of the door panels too which gives a nice two tone effect.

Having said that, I know there's a difference in the bumpers of the 08 and 09 but I haven't been able to find picture comparing the two side-by-side. Does anybody have pics of the comparison?

It would be physically impossible to get the 06-08 GFX Front Lip to fit on a 2009...

So if its being sold to you... DO NO BUY IT...!!

The 2009 Lexus GFX Lip I pictured above, will work in conjunction with your 2009.

Reason being is that the OEM 06-08 bumper has a removable lower section(s) that allow the install of the 06-8 GFX Front Lip.
Which has a number of tabs and bolts that lock it into place.

The 2009 OEM Bumper is an ALL ONE PIECE deal.. The lower section on the 09' is NOT removable..

Here is a picture of my 2008 Bumper BEFORE the Lexus GFX Front Lip install.
You will notice the seam and how the entire bumper is really 3 sections.

Here is a picture of my 2008 Bumper AFTER the Lexus GFX Front Lip install.
You will now notice the seam of the New Lip and how the entire bumper is now only 2 sections.

Finally, here is a picture of the One Piece 2009 Bumper.
No seams, which means no removable lower sections.



It's pretty safe to say if you get the 2009 Lexus GFX Front Lip, it will easily bolt onto your 2009 Front Bumper.
There just hasn't been much info on this stand-alone option just yet.
Here in the USA it has been reported that the 2009 Lexus IS's equipped with the X-Package, are coming with this new lip installed.

Also, along with the new restyled bumper there is a larger Outer Chrome Grill on the 2009.
The inner grill received a refresh as well..
The 06-08' has 33 fins, while the new 09' only has 24 fins.
