Foglight Help (Nokya bulbs)
i installed Nokya Arctic White Stage II 9006 for my foglights. had it on for less than 2 weeks. and tonight, my friend noticed that there was smoke around my headlights. and noticed it came around the area of my foglights.
i have smoked overlays, which kinda bubbled kuz it melted and i thought the smoke appeared from that. but i realized that the bubbles on my overlays happened even with stock bulbs. so my friend told me it might by my harness. since wattage is soo high , it might have melted my harness. i hope its just the overlays and not the vynals.
has anyone else had this problem?? i know a few people who have nokya arctic yellow stage 1 (only 70 Watts) which is still 15 Watts over stock.
i was just being greedy and wanted the Stage II which is 100 Watts. thats 45 Watts above stock.
any input would help. what should i do?
thanks
andrew

hrm though i don't know your problem thanks for clearing up my problem. I have the nokya hyper yellow stage 1 70 watts and wonder if it would to too much wattage.
Seems like you might just have to open it up and look to see what's been burnt or not.

You guys have to get a high wattage harness! It'll burn out your harness and connector like it did to mines and I only went to 55watts! I was lucky that I found a new harness on ebay.

If you run high watt bulbs like NOKYA or to be safe, any other aftermarked bulbs with high watts...you need to plug in those high wattage harnesses! Those nokya harnesses protect your stock harnesses from frying! (No...you need to replace your stock harnesses!) When you do that then you can plug in the NOKYA harnesses...I've been running my NOKYA's for 6 months now...sorry to hear about your fogs, but at least now you know! Good luck!
i still havent cheched my harness if it melted or not. kinda busy today but when i get a chance, i'll take a look-see.
might as well started searching for a new harness
thanks for all the feedback
