I finally found a 120V power adapter that fits in the center console!
Found it at Fry's in Anaheim - $10 before tax. They had a bunch of them with different adapters (Samsung/Nokia/Moto/Treo/iPhone). Made by Case Logic in blister pack.
This is a shot of it in the car. Horrible lighting I know, but the lid barely clears it. Nasty blue LED when powered on but some black electrical tape will patch it right up.

hm, my phone charger works in my cigarette lighter and my center console outlet... although, maybe thats why my actual cigarette lighter doesnt work anymore =p. good thing i dont need it
