Default AHHHH. Clips on GFX Front Lip!!

Guys... and Gals...... to those who installed their own GFX front lip..... I took off all of the bolts (screws) on the bottom, but for the sake of God, I could not take the 2 clips on the ends off........... I tried pulling them with the screwdriver, but it seems like it's not budging, but just stripping the thing.....

Also, I've been doing searches on DIY front lips, and i noticed that a lot of you guys used tape. Mine didn't come with tape, so how much do I use and where do I apply it to once i figure out how to get those clips off? Thanks yo yo.

its should come off easy, its held on with double sided tape. heat it up, with a hairdryer or heat gun, it should come off easy.

I'm sure your lip has tape. It's near the tips, and it's a really thin little strip on there. Check closely and you'll see it.

all you need for that clip is a flat head screwdriver

sigh.. I tried.. I guess I'll go buy a smaller one. I tried a big screwdriver so I can have more leverage.

Work at it from all sides and wiggle it down at the same time.

for those clips you stick a flat head in then TWIST.. i hate those clips too. sometimes you'll get easy ones some of them just won't budge off at all.. but try that method and you'll get it out sooner then trying to pry it off by moving downward instead of twisting

You have to do it slowly because it has like dust build up in there. Spray some wd40 and it should get moving. Take your time and pry it slowly tho

you need to get the center part out a just a bit, then pull on the outer clip to pull it out completely

Or you can get a panel removal tool, and take it out without leaving a mark on it?

You're better off using a smaller screw driver. A big one won't go into that little groove on the clip.
