PICS> ORACLE 9005 LED DRL Bulb in 2IS
#61
Actually, I was wondering if I drive with my high beams on with these LEDs installed, will it affect oncoming traffic? I'm leaning towards thinking it won't because, when I stand in front of the lights, I can't really see any significant light output from the LEDs.
Any thoughts?

yeah, i finally got it to snap it, well at least one side (the other just half clocked). Anyways, i file everything that you can imagine to get the damn things barely go in. It took me two hours, i almost throw them away and call it good, but after many times saying to myself, just one more time. Well, it finally go in but very tight, i mean really tight; so i dont know if i can get them out later on.
Like ApoK said, it flickers like crazy, but still better than stock DRL. I dont know if i want to say i recommended it. ACCstyle is not responsive.
Good luck to those have ordered them!

Sorry guys, I was out of town and couldnt log in to CL from my phone.
I posted some comparison pics on page #1.
We are not aware of any fitment problems, we have now installed these bulbs on several 2IS without a problem.
The only thing I can tell you to watch is that on one of the bulbs there was a spot on the base of the aluminum pedestal where some of the adhesive was squeezed out on bulb assembly and that little bit made the bulb a tight fit. You can pick it off with your fingernail if this is the case.

there are couple members who are claiming that they are having problem with the FITMENT and that it FLICKERS..
I don't know why AAC is not admitting the fact that there is a fitment problem and stop telling us that it doesn't flicker

yeah, i noticed on my AAC bulbs that there were a few globs of adhesive on the rubber o-ring. i just removed them with a small screwdriver, and i have no fitment issues. i DO, however, have even worse flickering with these than with my previous v-leds...
but they are hella bright, so they are staying in.

Also, just to be clear: the 9005 is not a loose fit. You need to push the bulb hard enough that the o-ring seats then you can turn and lock the bulb into place.
