Interior photos are definitely 09 as they have the two-tone seats and revised nav buttons and central air vents.
My question is this: The IS has three switch buttons under the left-side air vent by the door. On the 08 the buttons are, in order, 1.) rear shade; 2.) headlight washers; 3.) coin holder.
But if you look at photo #8 in the interior gallery on lexus.com, the third button shows something illuminated (it's too small to make it out). Since the coin holder is not illuminated, is this button for a new feature in 09? (I think in some other parts of the world this button is used for a heated windshield - I'm not sure - so maybe this was photoshoped in by accident.)
Does anybody know?

BTW, heated windshield would be part of your Front windshield defrost in your CLIMATE control settings.

Is the front oem lip 2 different pieces? It doesn't look bad, I don't really like the rear piece though, although I never liked the 06-08 rear oem piece either...
I want to see what some aftermarket companies come up with for a kit as well...Im hoping Lexon delivers something similar to the current 06-08 lip

Can't say I'm too fond of the new front lip and rear lip. Don't like those flourishes on the back lip, nor the wings on the front. Breaks up the clean lines of the previous version. Looks like Lexus is going for the frou frou look on the IS; rear lip, side mirrors, chrome around Nav, etc. It's too fussy to my eye and takes the sporty edge off the whole look. Maybe that is where Lexus wants to take the IS250/350, leaving the IS-F for the true sports line.

Yes, space #3 is still a coin holder. In that photo, the highlight was supposed to show it as a coin holder, but because the photo is small, it looks like a lighted button but it is not.

Also, that same photo #8 of the 2009 in the lexus.com interior gallery incorrectly shows the old-style central air vents. You can just barely see that the vents' open/close switch is on the outer part of the vent (like the 06-08), rather than in the center (like the 09).

hey Javy, could you tell any difference in side off the side view mirrors? some are saying on here that they look smaller, I was not convinced yet. Any idea? Wondering if we could retro fit the turn signal cover on our cars. Thanks.

^That's why I posted that side shot of the mirrors. It certainly appears to be 'thinner' in profile. I haven't had a chance to verify with measurements though. I'm sure you'll be able to retrofit these, but get ready for some sticker shock - the OEM GS turn signal mirrors ARE $1100 a set. I much prefer the JDM turn signal mirrors that Carson sells over these new ones, and they're TREMENDOUSLY cheaper to boot.
