Join the key club! It's happened too a lot of us on here. Find a good bodyshop and get a quote on the damage. If it's more than your deductible, go through your insurance. It took my bodyshop one day to fix my "key incident."
Good Luck! Sorry for your luck.

Will it require repainting or can it be buffed out? My fingernail will catch on the scratch when I go over it.
I swear if i ever find the idiot who did this i am going to throw them a beating

Sorry to hear that man!
But don't let it get to you so much, its bad for health
After about a hundred scratches and a few minor fender bender later, you wont take it so hard anymore haha.

If its small then it shouldnt matter, my CPO and many CPO on the lot has scratches, minor key marks on it, not to mention my hood has a finger nail area of paint that was chipped to the primer when they sold it to me. Even though you are "responsible" for the car's conditions, they give you a bit of leeway in terms of how the car "age". Hell by the time you finish the lease they are not going to ask you to spend 2000 bucks to repaint the whole front end from all the rock chips lol.
Usually if the key marks can be buffed/polished out if its not down to the primer, some might be a bit too aggressive to be done safely. You can buy some touch up paint, touch it up, and then polish and buff it yourself and no one will be able to tell unless they know its there in the first place.

I tried to take pictures of it - it didn't come out too great, not sure because of it's starfire but you can sort of see it. I know there are worse scratches but this will drive me nuts
