Hello everyone,

Here in the UK our dome light area doesnt have a sunglass compartment instead it just has a blank panel where the sunglass compartment is meant to be.

I am wondering, If I purchase the entire domelight housing from Japan with the sunglass compartment, will it fit my Right Hand Drive IS250?

Also can anyone tell me if there is any DIY guides on removing that entire plastic housing?

The UK version has a intrusion sensor. So if you replace it then i guess you will lose the sensor. Someone around here said he could roll the window down and set the alarm and wait a min then stick his arm in the car and the alarm will go off. I forget how it works but im sure someone around here knows how.

Yeah, the UK versions have extra security systems which take up the space where the sunglasses holder is on US versions.

yeah for reals, if it was an easy swap i'd offer to trade some UKDMer for theirs, haha.

well i guess it would most likely be an easy swap for the UK end, but I'd imagine wiring it up might not be fun at all for US models.

Yep my sunglasses dont even fit in there. I would have taken the intrusion sensors.
