Did you drop it after you took the bulb out or something? I don't see how that could happen just sitting in the housing?

Is that an OEM bulb or is that an aftermarket one?

I didn't drop it after i took it out and it's a stock bulb. I raised my headlight and i think that might be the cause of it because of the angle.
i doubt it'll be cover under warranty. They'll probably blame on me thinking i dropped it. It did really look like that after i took it out.

Put it back in and go to the dealer, they should cover it.

yea leave it in and bring it in....its a warranty item. unless you want to spend like $100 to replace it on your own.

I haven't really seen a bulb snap in 1/2, usually just the fuse that goes out. Maybe its a defect item or something.
Only thing i can think of would be the bulb hitting some object or there was a super burst of heat which melted down the bulb cyclops style.

The only way that could've happened was whoever put taht bulb in, touched it w/ their hands, their oil-infested hands..

I think the bulb might be a quartz envelope yeah it could have been oil from handling on the bulb that weakened the quartz causing the failure. Another way the bulb could explode like that is if water somehow spilled on the hot bulb but thats not likely if the headlight isn't leaking. Most likely it was oil from handling.
