smoke overlay problems

smoke overlay problems
is anyone having trouble getting the overlay on this certain part of the taillight where 3 sides come to one point....its on the edge taillight (NOT THE ONES THAT R ON THE TRUNK)...if someone got it on flush around that point itd be very hepful if u could throw some advice this way..thanks

You have to cut it I believe. At least that's what they show in the video.
