interior mirror? With my newly tinted windows, this would greatly help with night driving and backing up.
TIA

Of course and yes. But I am wanting to bypass having to shut it off everytime I drive.
I know with some other cars you can disable certain features with the right tool, etc. Just wondering if anyone has done it...

Cover up the sensor on the mirror facing to the rear.

I believe it automatically cancels when you place the car in reverse, if that's the main issue.

I just put a piece of black electric tape to cover the sensor.

The most efficient way would be to dismount your auto-dimming mirror and send it to me. I will send you my non-auto-dimming mirror in return

??? Auto dimming is just that, "auto". The system is on only when lights are on behind you at night. Otherwise, it's off. However, if you feel you need to back-up into oncoming traffic, using just your rear view mirror, just switch the thing off. Good luck.

LOL! Trust me, you do not want my mirror. It shakes more than Whitney Houston's head during a Barbara Wawa interview.

Is it not an option to turn it off? push the auto button on the mirror so the green led is off. I could be wrong, I never really messed with it

I think he wants a more permanent option that does not require hitting the auto button every time he turns the vehicle on
