I had my car for a 15 months now and have 5k miles on it. I sold my daily driver so I can drive my IS more.
Why buy a new car and not drive it? I didn't make much sense to me so thats why I am forced to drive my IS now, rain or shine.

I'm at a little over 21K and the outside edges are smooth as a baby's butt. I'm hoping that we don't get too much more bad weather till I can scrape the money together to buy new ones. I just dropped 23K on a new Harley and times are rough for the next month or so.

Mileage Check - Anyone replace their tires?
So i'm replacing the stock tires in the front (Bridgestone Turenza ER33) due to inner tire wear, which means i'm keeping the back tires right now. I'm debating whether I should keep the same tread on the front, or should i find another set of tires for the front and switch out the rears later on. The reason I ask is because I can't find the turanzas anywhere near my place and the cheapest i found it for was $242/tire.
I remember I used to switch the treads ...... only on the rear/front respectively, not driver/passenger. It's just that, if I get into an accident, will the insurance company penalize me for not having same set of tires on all fours?
Any Advice???
btw: i have 32k miles. Are these tires supposed to wear out by now?

you did good getting 32k out of them.
I would suggest you avoid mixing treads period.
If anything, replace all 4 and keep the 2 rears as spares in case you get a blow out or something . . .
I have no idea insurance wise but it really shouldn't be a problem . . .
If you want cheap tires that are pretty good all year round, try out the Kumho Ecsta ASX or if you want better warm weather grip, go for the Ecsta MX or SPT

I would recommend the Sumitomo HTR Z III
this tire is a best seller on tirerack, you can buy the whole set front and rears for $528 plus shipping from tirerack, the Sumitomo is a great tire and is the best bang for the buck
