Default who uses the outlet under arm rest?

I don't like to use the outlet next to the ash tray. But I can't plug my cell phone car charger under the arm rest without it leaving it open. Dose anyone know an alternative I can use? I want to be able to charge my phone using that outlet with the arm rest closed.

What would you do?...

Got my XM Radio attached there.

I'm too cheap to buy the OEM XM radio unit...

Yeah. I actually have two things plugged in there and thinking about moving my cell phone charger there too. I bought a 3-in-1 cigarette socket extension with a short plug. That way, it still fits with the cover closed and I can put even more stuff under it. You can get it for somewhere around $10 at Fry's (I think they have them in AZ).

Fry's or radio Shack - buy an angled 3 outlet converter. It'll fit snug, but possible.

I used it for my Valentine1 radar. The power cable for the V1 is thin enough that it'd goes under; i can slide it under. So my V1 is "hardwired" :-) without cutting any wires.

i dont use mine for the same reason...i just dont want the thing to be open. i have thought about getting a car charger for my cell that has a hinge so it bends but im still not sure if it would clear and i've been too lazy thus far to purchase one and try it.

Bought a car charger adapter at Radioshack that lets you plug in two things and it can bend 90 degrees. got it for less than 10 bucks I think.

I used to have my old mobile phone charger there, it was smaller than my current one.

I wish I can do this again

I wonder if its possible to retrofit the 09 arm rest connections? Because the 09's arm rest console is deeper so a normal car charger works.

Radio shack sells the 2-outlet angled ones for like 5-10 bucks, looks vaguely like the one in your pic with one less outlet
