people in the POMONA area know there are sooo many damn dips. on monday, i was at my friends house heading over to my place. i decided to take a different route home and going around 40-50mph, i hit 2 dips. and like it was hecka bad. later in the parking lot, i found i scratched the shxt out of my underside of the front lip. you cant see it unless your on the floor. and i noticed just this morning, that when i turn the wheel, it squeaks.
is this a easy, cheap, fast fix?? or will it cost some $$$$$??

well if it were me i wouldnt repaint it. you said its only noticed when you get on the floor. save yourself some $$$ because i might happen again in the future. but for the sound, take it to the dealer because it should be under warrenty. i'm pretty sure somethign is bent now.

i remember for something on my car, cant remember wat, they said it was free because of warrenty for them to CHECK it. but then they wanted to me pay to replace it or something. i dont wanna get jipped again like that.

I highly doubt the front lip paint will be covered or any paint that does not have a factory defect. This happens to the best of us, I would not re-paint it either.

okay they wont cover the paint under warranty but i think they should cover the squeak on the car.

so i called the dealer and set an appointment. (Crown Lexus in Ontario)
they told me to it is NOT covered by warranty because i caused the damage. they said it would be $120 for diagnosis. but if they find that they need to fix or replace anything, i dont need to pay the $120 but i do need to pay for whatever they fixed/replaced. do i need this done?? or can i go to a local goodyear/firestone type of place and get it done there??

i wouldnt repaint either.
if your wheel is bent (assuming oem) i would take it to a tire shop to check its balance. if its off and cant be fixed, then you know which route is further needed.
i'd avoid the dealer altogether. yes pomona is bad; the 10fwy is worse.

uhhhhh did u tell them what happen? i would just say that i hear a squeak and dont know why lol free inspection and if it needs to be replaced then they would do it for your cost if they think you caused it or free see dealership is always trying to make money off you just play the dumb card.

gonna clear things up....

im not planning to repaint or replace my lip. the price quote is if i have a chipped/broken tire rod or axel or something like that. just a check up.
having a scratched lip that no one can see doesnt really bother me. so yea...

hahaha, if you DONT have a scrapped up bottom lip your NOT lowered enough wear it like a badge of honor

Just go to a different dealer and tell them you've got squeak sound when u drive. Have them take a look at it, its probably free. If they are gunna charge u, they will let you know and you will have to decide
