the factory calls it a "clutch" but its for an automatic... can be also called a torque converter or stall converter... it's hard to explain if you've never experienced it before... the converter "jumps" you to the "powerband" instead of that slow, ramp up that allows for slower and easier shifts that comes on the factory settings. it makes if much quicker off the line and slower speeds and will kinda throw you back in your seat (depending on the size of the stall of course).

Per Lexus, all the new F-Sport Accessories are specifically designed for the IS 250 & 350...

Yes. I drove the LFA.

The F-Sport line does not have a torque converter for sale, only an actual manual transmission clutch assembly designed for the IS250 6speed manual cars. It is designed to be a replacement for the stock clutch, and provide a bit extra grip. Personally, ive never installed the F-Sport clutch, nor have i driven a car with one yet. So i cant comment one way or the other.

The F-Sport clutch is very grabby and they had one 6MT with the F-Sport cluch installed at the Lexus Driving Academy on Saturday. Some people who prefer that tighter clutch feel might opt for this. I was never a fan of performance clutches without springs (I have not seen the F-Sport clutch in person to be able to determine the tension) as they tended be jerky when shifting. Not so much fun for daily driving. Passnu2 drove the 6MT F-Sport on the X-Cross and he can describe it to a "T" better than I. I was going to try it out, but grabbed the F-Sport 350.
