How to disable auto retract steering feature on IS350
Guys/Gals,
I tried the search function and didn't come up with anything. I have the memory option and would like to know how I can disable the automatic retraction and extending part of the feature. Since I'm the only drive I dont mind having it in a fixed position.
If any of you have found a method or solution please let me know! I seen a lot of heated debates about this feature on the GS part of this forum. I guess to each their own.
Thanks in advance!

Correct. This has to be done at the dealer using Lexus Personalized Settings.

UPDATE: I'm in socal.. Just called Lexus of Glendale and they wanted 60 bucks to make any LPS changes.
I heard some members got it free at their dealerships.... I guess if you have a nice ride you gotta pay the man. 60 bucks insnt really a big deal but why couldn't they have allowed us to make those setting changes ourselves?
Thanks guys!

It shouldnt cost you, next time you bring it in for a service, tell the service manager you want to change the LPS settings since you dont like the default factory settings and the dealer never took the liberty of setting it for you when your car was delievered.
If you do the minor stuff like those along with a service, they are less likely to rip you off and charge you for free stuff

There are definitely somethings they should allow you to do on your own. My mother-in-law's Buick lets you change some settings, including auto headlight sensitivity.
