Default Tire wind deflectors. Did you know that that's what they are? I sure didn't

As I mentioned in my other thread, I went in to have some things fixed... all turned out to be free, because Lexus of Seattle is awesome. Anyway, one of the things was a broken mudguard. Or at least, that's what I thought the part was. It's the little plastic guards in FRONT of the rear tires. Apparently, they are wind deflectors, according to Lexus.

Who knew?

Yeah, I do, too... the front ones, anyway. Which is why it's weird that it was my rear one that broke.

People always think I'm joking when I tell them this is what they are... It's actually explained in the 'New Car Features' section of the FSM, which I think only lobuxracer and I have bothered to read.

^My rear were also like that, so when I lowered my 2IS I just removed them altogether. The fronts I just cut them of with a fresh box cutter blade.

Never had a problem with mine. Just be-careful how how one uses the car, especially if one is lowered.
