I say go with HID because:

1.) I have read that changing the blub caused fire (not good eh). But that was the one case I've read. So make sure to get the right wattage on the blub. And they do run hotter at 55W output.

2.) HIDs run at 35W, have a longer lifetime rating, and in the club venders section, there is a thread for mobileHIDs with 36 month warranty on blub and ballasts! (I am not commercializing and received no benefits, just giving a review based on what I've purchased).

The difference is steep and the installation has to be of patience. Either way, you can't go wrong with yellow.

I thought that was just for the warmup time when turning the HID's on. Of all the video's I've seen they start green then change to yellow. Also, all 3000k kits are not made as the same color, XenonDepot's 3000k bulb is yellow itself, not clear like the other color temps.

If possible, can you post some day and night pics? I am sure there would be a lot of members that would love to see them.

hows about first you put on some yellow overlays, then you take it out. put some yellow bulbs then switch it to blue bulbs. after, you put some hids 3000k then put 6000k or whatever. then finally you go back to stock.

Left looks much better! 6K "or" 5K look the best. They also offer the light output that the IS should have had from OEM...

yellow does not reflect off fog as much as white light. meaning no glare.

yellow is also used in ALMS series racing cars i also think some rally cars use yellow.

I know yellow fogs produce beter light for fog. But it seem like a lot of LEXUS guys run them. Is there any reason why?
