im gettin rid of the cd player and navi...also the radio on the non navi dash and ONLY keeping the AC functions.

I got the non navi console and customized the iPad holder on there all ready for install but my only concern is the wiring in the back.

Non navi only has a couple of plugs and the navi one has like 10.

That's y I said I want to the the opposite from this post - I wanna go Navi to NonNavi.

Default Help with connector name

What is the name of the connector in the picture that has the light blue plug at the upper unit and white plug at the lower unit, and what does it do?

Default connector labels

I am also missing that cable and have the same question. Can anyone let us know what the connector is called from the light blue socket, and what it does?

Default How do I reach the guys you mentioned in your post?

I'm trying to convert a navi Mark Levinson gx470 to a non navi system. I have most things in place but the wiring is different for both vehicles.
You mentioned lexusaudio and one other gentleman. How can I reach them to get assistance?

Hi From Australia,

I've managed to do the retrofit

Only two issues

I'm getting black/white vertical lines when attempting to go into NAV mode

Also, my source didn't come with a GPS antenna, can I buy a generic ebay GPS antenna? If so, where does the antenna plug into? (can't seem to find this in the instructions)

Generic antenna won't work cause of connector they are using. Lexus antenna is not that expensive. There is gray plug on the back of the unit connect to antenna - the only one could fit in there is antenna plug)
As for vertical line. Does it shows up in every mode or just the NAV? if only the Nav, i would check the connection again cause improper plugged in will cause same problem.
Hope it help.

Thanks Whitebeast! useful information there..

I cut out most of the loom from the donor car, but I wasn't able to get the antenna under the dash. Could I just solder on a generic antenna to the plug?

Yeah, only during anything nav related, everything else looks fine. I'll check the connectors again, but was a little worried I may have not tapped a wire correctly, guess it's a little hard to diagnose

Ok, you may have 2 problem. Navigation connect to the screen using only one connector that the OP point out (one side has blue color and the other is white) that for video signal.
the second thing I would check is the MAP ECU itself
as for entenna
http://m.ebay.com/itm/2006-LEXUS-IS2...%257Ciid%253A2

if you need some picture of the connector I'm talking about. Let me know
