DIY: Interior Domelights (GTFO 56k)
These are how the LED Dome lights look like. I got them on ebay and this is the link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...S%252BI%252BSS
The Front
The Back
Tools you will need: a screwdriver, and pry tool, and a blade.
First the LEDs came in 1 piece so i used a blade to cut them apart. For the back domelight you just use your plastic prytool and pry off the cover and take out the existing bulbs. It should look like this after you take the bulbs out.
Put the LEDs in they should fit snuggly.
Without domelight cover
With domelight cover
For the front i took out the entire assembly for the domelight There are 2 screws inside the glasses holder:
After you take those screws off all you need to do is apply force in the front and they should pop off. They are held in by screws so it's forgiving. I took out the 3 existing bulbs and popped the dome light cover out using the pry tool, or for me i just poked it out from the inside of the cover.
I connected the LED to the middle instead of the 2 side ones. The connector for the LED will not fit snuggly so you will need to use needle pliers, or a flathead to move the metal on the dome light closer together.
You will need to move the LED around to make it fit and stay put. Then you are finished.

igofast plugged it into the middle slot so there will be no dimming BUT when he walks up to the car the main dome will come on, if he plugged it into the side slots when he walks up the main dome wont come on. gj
