do you have pics of the chrome part after being sanded down? Im new to this painting thing and am scared im gonna sand it too much or not enough.. how do you know?

i plan on doing mine this weekend if it doesn't rain. i can supplement to the DIY or create a new one with pictures of each step. i just finished my emblems and i'm letting them dry.

there is no such thing as sanding too much :P if you get lazy with sanding go to a body shop that have a sand blaster they will do it for like 5 bucks :P takes like 10 mins

Wait nobody answered my question. What about the grill portion???? To do that is it the same process sand paper etc...

to paint any part, you will need to sand it, prime it, then spray it. I wouldn't want to do the grill piece just cuz it would be a pain in the *** to sand inbetween each fin. Also, because of the fins, it'll be hard to paint.

I have a SGM and i just finished painting my grill using this format, but i did use the Clear Coat. Once it is completely dry, i'll put it back on and i'll post some pictures. I really think its gonna look awesome

Get it done professionally.

I've seen DIY painted grills, and most have a lot of orange-peel texture on the paint.

If you don't know what you're doing, don't do it.

^also....philip is right if your not sure what your doing get it done at a body shop so you don't mess it up....
