Default Painting stock rims

I am very low on budget and i was thinking of just painting my 07 is250 stock rims to black. Should i paint it or just keep it as it is?

Funny...I did it on my Carrera, never got accused of being "Ricey"....Painted 19" Porsche rims....In fact, I STILL get peopl eon boards sending me emails about those rims....It ran through my mind when I got this car....I still may do it...just until I decide which rims I want....Oh here is my Ricey Porsche...lol

i agree.

and feel that if you need to be a baller on the budget, painting the factory stocks is an easy way to get a clean look on a black car. i mean he could easily get 4-500 dollar crap wheels, but i feel that is ricier than painting the wheels black.

my boy did the same thing on his 996 stocks. looked sick as well, and his car was more of a dark everest green. i think that it could look good on all color IS, just make sure you smoke the tails as well.

If your car is black, go ahead. paint it and get some spacers and a drop, youre set.

Make sure to get a good clear coat on them to reduce flaking or chipping. The Careera above looks great. I also like the NM Edition IS-F wheels. Black rims look the best on the black IS's. I also vote for keeping the Lexus logo chrome on the center cap.

Painted...powder coating can make the rims weak and brittle...I had the body shop do it the same time my body kit was done. They held up VERY well. I was thinking since they were so close to the ground they would get so nicked and scratched that they would look horrible. The down side is they took a few weeks to do because they were so backed up..but I wasnt in a hurry, I was riding on my set of stocks not those....
