Under warranty I've got the following replaced NEW:

Brakes - for the excess brake dust

Glove box - rattle from the lock when they reinstall from the dash rattle tsb

08 Speedo assy - for a rattle (now I have the fog light indicator light )

Rear passenger seat belt harness - seperating

Repainted front INGS kit - Scrapped while in service

New rearview mirror for the TSIB vibrating issue. (Still vibrates w/ the ML)

Moonroof - for wind noise. Dealer said the seal didn't come seperate so they order a whole new one.


Black chrome License plate - Car serviced and washed left spots afterwards


but before they ordered me a new one I tried to polish it out to no prevail


I just got to say that Lexus has the best customer service there is.

Which dealership did you go to? I have wind noise too coming from the moonroof of my '06.

So, installing a new speedo actually gives you the foglight indicator. nice! what about your mileage?

The new speedo would also accomodate upgrading the skid control computer if something were to happen to yours and force you to replace it. The new computer when installed in an '06 flashes VDIM test mode on the multi-display if you hold the TRAC off switch for more than 3 seconds (it also turns off the VSC without the pedal dance a la '07 and later.) With the new combometer it would just light the appropriate lights... I've been thinking about this for awhile now...

hows the new sunroof and wind noise? I get quite a bit form mine too, but i don't feel any wind coming through. I thought it was normal *shrug*

Yeah, I have an 08 and there's wind noise from the moonroof if I have the interior portion open. I don't see how replacing the entire moonroof would get rid of that?

So to replace the seal on the sunroof you have to replace the whole thing?

Gotta, hand it to the boyz in Toyota City for that bit of design brilliance. That should make out of warranty seal replacement a financial windfall for someone.
