covers any defective tires.. ie: if you're tires are new and they blow out. does not cover nails and all that other stuff or ur tires wearing out... cause they can say even tho u have 5000 miles on ur car and ur tires are bald.. it was self induced cause u did burnouts or some other stupid s*#t.

True. They call it something like "User/Driver Wear and Tear". So if you use it and it blows or anything because of the driver then it automatically is voided and needs to be paid from out of your own pocket.

Yep Yep!!!

The high performance summer tires have about 15,000 mile warranty. not much because they are high performance! I think th pilot from michelin are little higher.

i went to discount tire and order three new bridgestone re050 pole positions for such a good deal, they hooked it up big time, rear was only 260 install and front 188 install for each, so im happy, but still no mooncakes.

The tire warranty is provided by the tire manufacturer, not Lexus. Since the IS comes from the factory with several different brands of tire, the best way to check your coverage is to read the tire warranty leaflet which you should find in the leather document holder in the glove box.

Tire warranties on performance tires typically cover only defects in material and manufacturing, and are prorated based on the amount of tread you've used. Tread life and road hazards are not covered, although you can purchase road hazard coverage for an added cost with replacement tires.

Not necessarily, especially with low profile tires. Most blowouts on new tires are caused by sidewall bubbles, generally caused by hitting a pothole. They are considered a road hazard, and aren't covered by the limited warranty.

Nope Nope!!!

High performance summer tires don't come with a tread life warranty. With regards to Michelin, only their HydroEdge, Destiny, X-One, Harmony, X-Radial, X-Radial Plus, Symmetry, RainForce MX4, CrossTerrain SUV and X-Metric have tread life warranties. The Pilot series has none.

I purchased the "tires for life" coverage from my local dealer at the point of purchase. I was wondering if it was possible to refund the purchase of that coverage, I realized that I will moving out of town and will not benefit from the purchase
