Default A Very Unpleasant Surprise...

I ALWAYS park my car in my driveway, but last night when I got home from work, my wife had some friends over who were parked there, so I parked out on the street so that they could get out without me having to move my car everytime someone left. I intended to move the car back in the driveway once everyone left, but totally forgot. Well wouldn't you know, the one night I leave my car on the street, this is what greets me as I am about to leave for work...

Was able to drive it to the shop, only about 1-2 miles away. They won't even be able to get to it for another 2-3 weeks, so if I am lucky I'll have it back by the end of the month. Now I have the pleasure of driving a Nissan Versa S rental around for the next few weeks. What kills me is that I have neighbors that park cars on the street EVERY NIGHT and never in the (3) years I've lived here has a car gotten hit. I park it out there just one...and BAM. I am highly disconcerted, to say the least!

I am surpriesed that didn't wake the neighborhood with that collision. That is significant.

Funny you say that, police said the same thing...I didn't hear squat, but my wife said she heard something around midnight that woke her up, but thought it came from inside the house. She got up, looked around, didn't see anything, and went back to bed, thinking she'd find whatever it was it in the am...never dawned on her that it came from outside.

It hurts just looking at the pics. It sucks that people aren't responsible enough to own up. At least the damage is not irreparable and the car will get fixed soon enough.

Damn, it's so crappy when things happen to you and you have to suffer with the damage because people are stupid. My boyfriends car was hit and the two passenger side doors are messed up, but he can't really afford the $500 deductible to get it fixed right now so he just has to deal with it. I can't imagine how pissed I would be to find what you did.

Yeah, I felt like someone punched me in the gut when I first layed eyes on the carnage. And then there's the $2,000 deductible...
