$1200 for OEM spoiler? WTF?
So as I was getting my mothers car serviced a JM a few days ago and I decided to walk over to the parts desk to get a price on the OEM trunk spoiler for my car. They come back with a $1200 installed price tag, and $850 not installed. What gives? $1200 for a piece of plastic? Anyone know where I could possibly get this cheaper?

You can get the spoiler from Lexus-parts.com, they are a vendor on here. I paid somewhere around $175 shipped for it or something like that.
I called the dealer to ask for an install. Get this, they said it was "an all day event" and would cost around $400-450. I laughed and hung up. I asked my brother to install it (he is a Toyota mechanic). He installed it flawlessly in around 45 minutes. What a joke.

ask them to let you put a sign by the counter said "Brand New Discount OEM Lexus Part"
and you can make a ton of money... LOL
and I had an experience with them as well, ask them how much to window tint my car, they told me 399, and the windshield strip will be 35 extra. And they said because I am a premium member with the dealer I get 10% off.. I am like, you are right. Go around the corner, go to where the dealer send the vehicle to get window tint. 250 include everything. Make 140 for just print me a bill.. what a nice profit.

You sure they didn't quote you a price for the rear ground effects piece by mistake?? $850 is the highest price I've ever seen for a lip spoiler. Doesn't sound right to me.
