Default Body Shop or Brand New Bumper?

Aight -

So, I have some bumper damage... A few dings and scratches on the front and some drilled holes from the dealership.

Anyways... I wanna get the bumper completely cleaned up.

Lexus Collision Center can fix it for $500.

Or I can buy a whole new OEM bumper from the dealership for $303, but I would have to spend an additional $400 to get it painted.

What do you guys recommend?

Which solution should I go with?

Anyone able to possibly help me out with a new deal on the OEM bumper or possibly be able to paint it for a deal? I'd be willing to ship it out and pay etc...

if you ship out the bumper to paint, the color might not match.

Just get it repaired since it'll be a few hundred less. It'll look the same anyways, right?

If you're really particular, and the Lexus Collision Center would still be doing the work, I would get the new bumper.

I had a bumper repaired (on a different car, not the IS) and it looked OK from a distance, but from close up I could see spots that looked a little uneven. But YMMV.

Maybe it's 3 stage paint like my crystal white pearl.

So I have received a few estimates... It's going to cost anywhere from $700-$800.

Such a joke, but oh well... RIGHT?

I had a quote from Caliber for less than $400 to replace the front bumper...
