Is it possible to get the Sport package with Wood Trim?
We are buying a new car for my wife and have it narrowed down to a G35S or IS350. I really want to get the sport package if we buy an IS350. Wife really wants the wood interior.
Is it possible to get the Sport package with wood interior?
Here is Houston it seems like most dealers give you 3 options on ways to configure the car and none include the Sport package, so I'm assuming they would have to special order.
Thanks,
Rick

Hello Rick. Welcome to ClubLexus!
A lot of people have actually asked about the wood trim with the Sports Package. Here are the three best options you have:
1) Get the Lux package, and just add a drop via aftermarket sports suspension upgrade (a lot of members love the Eibach Pro Kit which drops the car about 1").
2) Get the Sport package, and find someone to trade you their wood trim for your alum trim + $$. (It's been done before through our Classifieds section.)
3) Order the OEM wood trim (which is about $1200), or find a good aftermarket dash kit (which none is "good enough" for my taste...).
Personally, I think the best bet is #1.
Good luck and keep us informed with the progress. I do hope you become part of our little family here real soon...

Not from the factory, no.
As a side note: I sure wish Lexus would make a less reddish variant of the birds-eye maple for a special edition or something. Personally, I love wood and birds-eye maple has beautiful grain but the current color only seems to really match well with the black interior.

Special order the Sports Package and spruce up the metallic trim with something else, ala IS-F style Carbon Fiber. Better than wood for a sports sedan, imo ......
