Default Is it possible to get the Sport package with Wood Trim?

We are buying a new car for my wife and have it narrowed down to a G35S or IS350. I really want to get the sport package if we buy an IS350. Wife really wants the wood interior.

Is it possible to get the Sport package with wood interior?

Here is Houston it seems like most dealers give you 3 options on ways to configure the car and none include the Sport package, so I'm assuming they would have to special order.

Thanks,

Rick

Nope, but the lux package is virtually the same on the 08. If I'm not mistaken, you get the same suspension on both.

nope you are wrong!!!!

the sports has a sport suspension and is lowered 1" on the front. If you want wood just get the Luxury package is almost the same, remember you can always buy some aftermarket springs or coilovers if you want a sport suspension.

u can't get the wood trim with the sports package, but i'm sure you can find someone who will trade you your metallic trim for their wood trim.

Actually, it's 10mm which is just shy of 1/2".

Hello Rick. Welcome to ClubLexus!

A lot of people have actually asked about the wood trim with the Sports Package. Here are the three best options you have:

1) Get the Lux package, and just add a drop via aftermarket sports suspension upgrade (a lot of members love the Eibach Pro Kit which drops the car about 1").
2) Get the Sport package, and find someone to trade you their wood trim for your alum trim + $$. (It's been done before through our Classifieds section.)
3) Order the OEM wood trim (which is about $1200), or find a good aftermarket dash kit (which none is "good enough" for my taste...).

Personally, I think the best bet is #1.

Good luck and keep us informed with the progress. I do hope you become part of our little family here real soon...

You could special order a sports package with wood, but it would take months to get it made and shipped to US soil. A waste ot time if you ask me. Just buy the Lux package which has the wood, and get Eibachs or F-sport springs (available in March).

Not from the factory, no.

As a side note: I sure wish Lexus would make a less reddish variant of the birds-eye maple for a special edition or something. Personally, I love wood and birds-eye maple has beautiful grain but the current color only seems to really match well with the black interior.

you can get the x-package with the premium package and have the wood trim. you will be missing a few options though that comes with the sport package.

Special order the Sports Package and spruce up the metallic trim with something else, ala IS-F style Carbon Fiber. Better than wood for a sports sedan, imo ......
