Just wanted to create a special thread for us sports pkg owners and wonderin' how many of us are there on here. It's also a thread where you can talk about anything related to owning a sports pkg equipped car.

I admit that the ONLY reason I originally wanted the sports pkg was because I wanted HID's. Yeah I know...lame but before anyone laughs at me, I ordered the car in Nov of '05 so at that time, HID's were not available as a stand alone option! But now that I have the sports pkg, I appreciate everything else that comes with the sports pkg like aluminum interior, AFS, telescopic steering wheel, etc.

Anyone one else wanna share their reasons for getting the sports pkg vs. another pkg?

PS. I took delivery of my car in March of '06 and according to the salesman at Longo Lexus, my car was the FIRST CW with black interior + sports pkg to be allocated to the entire West Coast!

I got the Sport Package because of HID also and I don't like the wood trim on the IS. (I know Pocky will hate me for saying this )

In Middle East, there are 4 options:

Premium:
non-leather seats
No NAV

Premium Plus:
leather seats
no NAV

Luxury:
everything, NAV and ML..etc

Sport:
exactly like Luxury, plus Sport pedals and GFX Kit.

we don't have aluminum interior, and we don't have a choice in rims except 17".

main reason for me to get the sport package was I wanted a firmer suspension but didnt want to deal with aftermarket, dont like wood trim, and wanted the HIDs plus all the other little things are nice too. Getting sport + ML all the stuff I wouldve upgraded (suspension and audio) are already upgraded over a base model so I dont have to mod it and its under warranty

I wanted an IS with ML, Nav and as much other stuff as possible. No stripped down version for me. Dealer had the car sitting on the showroom floor.

I think I liked just about all of the little things that came with the sport package: perforated seats, HIDs, tighter suspension, and NO WOOD trim. A bunch of the other things that came along with it were nice too.

Too bad it's aluminum-colored plastic though.

I got it just for the HIDs.. And plus I hate wood trim too.. And because it was the only one on the showroom floor in matador..

got it april 2006 from santa monica lexus. their one and only sports packaged is350 on the lot. tungsten pearl on black, all the bells and whistles... still puts a smile on my face when i get in.

I wanted sport package..... dang it...OH WELL! The ONLY one thing I didn't like about my luxury package is the wood trim. Now that has been taken care of.
