Winter wheels/tires?? TPMS?
I've searched on Tirerack.com and Discounttiredirect.com. Any other sites that may be good for this?
Inventory is low for 17s on Tirerack. DiscountTire's wheel/tire package is least expensive and apparently includes TPMS (if I'm reading ad correctly). Tires are Hankook Icebear W300. Anyone ever heard of them?
Also, speaking of TPMS, what happens of you don't get them in an aftermarket wheel/tire setup? Does the dummy light just stare you in the face while driving ?
Has anyone gone w/o TPMS in a winter wheel/tire setup?

Yes, with no TPMS, the dummy light will start at you. It also interferes with the display (it displays "check the system" permanently, instead of showing the temperature or whatever you have chosen). But, this is my set-up, and I got used to it after a while. I couldn't see paying $400 for sensors.
