^^ If the cover was put back on wrong, it will be pretty easy to see...

These things go on correctly one way and then the locking arm clips over the cover to keep it on tight and water proof of course..

Do not put blue in your parking lights! Unless you like getting pulled over by the police. The best bulb for this application is the 4 LED flank style high power bulb. They are incredibly bright for only 4 LEDs, totally stealth, and a great match for anyone running 6-8k HIDs.

The 19's and 27's are cool and do a good job of lighting up the housing but the flank bulb has the output of the 27 without the huge stick of LEDs protruding into the reflector.

i think outward would work best (facing the wheel) since the light is located at the upper left of the housing if you are looking at the front of the car.

but flank? really? i would have thought that one like this would be better and brighter

Thanks for the great write up OP. I tried looking at the pictures from the DIY HID thread, but got confused quickly (I'm in the process of installing the HIDs also). Your instructions were way more informative. Took my time and did everything right; sorta except I forgot to wear gloves and got a minor cut. I got the 4 LED flank style ones from VLEDs and faced them towards the center as told by jc86. They look great!

Just changed my city lights to hyper yellow, wasn't too hard. The directions were in the manual (basically steps 4 and 5 of the nice write up) but it was a real ***** to manipulate the light cover on the left. Even with Asian hands it was tight.

I used this this past weekend to change my city lights. Relatively easy. Like people said, just time consuming. I put 5000k LEDs for my parking lights. It's bluer than my OEM HIDs but much much better than the stock amber color. Probably 30 minutes from start to finish.

Guys, there is cheaper way to do all of parking light to match HID without spending more than $10 bucks!!!

All you need is a bottle of Tamiya X-23 (Clear Blue Acrylic Paint), and X-22 (Clear Acrylic Paint) to dilute the color to your liking.
http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/cat...p?sub-id=59000

Once you have your preferred combo, heat the oven upto 350F and let the bulbs bake for 30~60 minutes.

You are done!!!

P.S. I have the bulb lit for over a week in a small enclosure (smaller than the normal space in the headlight, so it was much HOTTER than its normal environment), the acrylic paint did not melt!!!
