I'm buying a is250 rwd 6speed
Hey guys,
I'm going to buy an IS250 rwd 6speed in the next month.
The x1 option for 2 grand will give the car 18" wheels and sport suspension.
Anyone know if the sport suspension lowers the ride height compared to what ever the base model comes with?

Congrats on your choice...just a couple words of warning...
Based on what I've seen the 250 manual with RWD is the least desirable version of this car in the used market....and... it is so specific that it appeals to a smaller audience.
This car appeals to many as a luxury car...that is not usually synonomous with manual shift...especially with the smaller engine. If you are concerned about re-sale you may want to do a KBB and see what the current relative difference is.
That may be OK for you and you may intend to keep it a long time but it is certainly something to consider...
my two cents...

Oh yeah, on your question, I'm not a modding kind of guy, so I'm going to disagree with the majority here and just say go factory if you decide you want the wheels/sport suspension.
Sure it's technically more expensive, but by going factory it's already done when you acquire the car, there won't be any BS from the dealer if you have warranty issues, and when it comes time to sell it, you won't have to put it back to stock/sell a modded car.
