Default Where to buy fuses?

Hello everyone. My cigarette lighter fuse is blown. I located the fuse, and i tried getting a replacement fuse from Pep Boys, Autozone, Radio Shack, and even Home Depot. No luck. Does anyone know where I can get a fuse? I would hate to go to the dealer just to get a fuse. Thanks in advance!

thanks is250gurl. I don't they have Dicount Autos around here in Chicago. Although it would be much easier if they did!

We have them at Kragen Auto parts, in California... I believe, in IL, they're Murray's Discount Auto Stores?

This actually happens to me quite often...I'm always knocking change accidentally into the outlet. My dealership's service dept. always gives me 2 or 3 fuses, they never charge me for them.

check the main fuse box in the engine bay, if not reference to your vechile booklet, it will state exactally where you can locate it.

there are 3 spare fuses in the fuse compartment on the driver side of the engine bay. look in there, the fuse puller is also located in there. look at the diagram on the lid and it will list where the 3 spare fuses are stored at.

i forgot to mention when i purchsaed some spare fuses at autozone they only offered a variety pack, meaning you get like 5 different fuse sizes..

just a temp fix until you can replace the spares you've used
