Default My Black Sapphire Pearl

I've been coming to this forum for almost three years when I got a new 2008 IS350, but I never took the time to register until now. Better late than never, I guess, and I'm happy to be here now. My car is Black Sapphire Pearl/Cashmere, but this will actually be changing in two days when I pick up a new Obsidian/Black 2011 IS350. I will have to switch threads to post pictures once I take delivery of the new one! I'm sad that Lexus has discontinued the color, and even though it's just a car, the past few days have felt a bit agonizing realizing that I'm going to be parting with it. But I am looking forward to getting my new 2011, as well as becoming an active part of the Club Lexus community.

If I were to buy a black sapphire peal GFX kit and put them on the blue onyx peal body, would you be able to tell the difference? They look the same in all these pictures. Sewell does not sell the blue onyx kit anymore.

Anyone regret getting BSP due to the extremely high maintenance of the paint. I have a black TL and I absolutely can't stand the pollen sitting within an hour of washing, claying, and waxing. I feel as if all these cleaning techniques repel water but attract the hell out of the airborne particles.

No regrets on BSP. It is high maintenance, but any time you buy a black/dark color car you're going to deal with it.

It's that time of year for the pollen. It's unavoidable. And, yes, it's frustrating when pollen is already starting to accumulate on the car when you haven't even finished waxing it yet.
