IS350 finally in the 12s!

Congrats CaymanDive. You are the man!
For us rookies that have NOT done this yet, what advice can you give us for our first night out. I am in Arizona with 50-60 night weather right now and obviously low elevation. I am hoping to do well but could use advice.
Also, I noticed your tire selection and the 18" rims. I am assuming you drive around on larger rims and race on 18's? Are the 20" rims going to ruin my times?

Maybe, but it's not like BMW didn't make a over 300 hp NA 6. They did it years ago with the M3.
Anyways, back on topic, I didn't mean my comment to come out like a half-hearted golf clap. 12s is very quick for a street car, especially the heavy ones we have today. I'm not hating, we do have an IS in our stable.

As for rims, I drive around on my stock 18's. No immediate plans for new ones, but if I had my choice I'd be getting 19" Volk Progressive ME's.

Yeah there is a slight difference. I stopped using ECT per combfilters suggestion and haven't tried it since. Here is a link to full details on the subject. Look specifically at post #38 https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=306876

First of all congrats to Caymandiver obviously, 12's are tight. But i don't get why the autospies people think this tuning for cheap is such a novel idea. Ive seen new 335i's running low 12's with nothing more than a Procede and exhaust. Some guy on youtube has a 335i sedan running a 0-60 in 4.1 seconds on his G-tech (not sure how accurate it is but even assuming +-.1 thats still 4.2, which is faster than any new e92 m3 has run in magazine tests)
The m3 will still run circles around it on a track where the 335 has no LSD. Same goes for IS350, the IS-F shows its true colors on the track. Straight line performance is a hobby, and its fun, but its no indicator of overall performance, its only one part of it.
Just my 2 cents.
Screw you OC335!, if IS had twin turbos and a huge aftermarket itwouldnt take so long to hit 12s..... jk im jealous, your car is dope.
