I have it on my 06. I believe it is standard but IMO its the worst telescoping steering I have seen to date.

I have an 08 with the premium package, no telescoping steering for me. The luxury package does. So the answer to your question is, no it doesn't come standard. Hope this helps.

I thought the manual telescoping steering wheel was standard, but with Lux package you get an automatic (powered) telescoping steering wheel. There is a small switch with which u can adjust the steering wheel in/out, up/down. I could be wrong though...

Yes, you are correct. ALL IS's, 2006-2008 have both tilt and telescoping wheels as standard equipment. Only the Luxury and Sport cars have "power" tilt and telescope. It appears that Menace has a telescoping wheel and doesn't know it. When the lever is released to adjust the tilt, the steering wheel can be adjusted in/out, also. One lever does both. Menace, hope this helps.

With the power steering wheel you can link it to the transponder and it will remember your setting. My wife is 5'3" and I'm 6'1" and it is sweet when you can just get in the vehicle without having to move the seats and steering wheel first!

Only with Lux or Sport Pkg, which is why I got it.

She has a V8 Limited 4Runner and is used to not worrying about flooding and bad weather, plus she doesn't want to walk a mile away when she goes shopping (parking).
