Default Vibration after new tires on

I was complaining to the dealer about a veering problem with my car, so they fixed it by replacing the stock Dunlops with 4 new Michellen Pilots. The veering problem is fixed, but now I'm getting a lot of vibration on the steering wheel, pedals, and even the seat. I can feel the vibrations more severely on the highway, going 70-80 mile/hour.

What could be the cause of this?

Which Michelins? Were they not balanced?

Michellin Pilot XSE's Radials. I'm assuming that the techs that put it on had the common sense to balance them.....but now I'm starting to question if they are or not. Do you think it could also be an alignment problem as well?

One of the new tires might be slightly out of round. Take it back and make sure they test them for force variance. They may need to remount a tire or replace it.

Also, after 4 New tires are installed correctly & balanced...

... having the wheel alignment checked is Highly Recommended.

You may have a bent wheel. You might want to have that checked out.

I'm going to bring the vehicle to a third party to check the wheel balance. I don't care if I have to pay for it out of pocket. As for alignment...is it necessary?

I'm starting to lose faith in my dealer....I checked the air pressure on all 4 tires this morning, and they were all set at 39psi.....

alignment doesn't have anything to do with a vibration

It would be nice to align it so you wont have uneven wear.

If you did not have the vibration prior to new tires it could be caused by
incorrrectly balanced wheels and or "out-of-round" tire/tires.

Have your dealer check and correct under work warranty. If still not fixed have a reliable independant tire shop check and remedy. If tire is at fault, dealer should replace at no charge. Hope this helps. Let us know final result.

Update:
I took my car to Belle Tire and had them check the balance on my two front tires...they were off by 1 ounce, on each tire! They re-balanced, and now the front end vibration is GONE!
I didn't get the backs re-balanced...should I?

Since dealers probably don't sell many tires, I would expect their balancing equipment to be as good or as well maintained as a good tire shop would have.
