Default drop the clips that hold the engine side covers on...

will dropping the clips that hold the engine side covers on into my engine bay damage my car in the future... i cant seem to find them please help..

i see that the whole engine bay is covered underneath but is there a opening near the back of the front wheels.. can any one confirm this???ive been going 80mph and stopping in my front drive way my neighbors are looking at me weird..
